New Year, new exchange portfolio challenge.

First print of the new year underway for the Remarque 2021 Print Exchange. I couldn't wait to see 2020 end and hoped to leave last year's challenges behind. This image seemed a fitting first edition for 2021. The subject is based on images of my late fater-in-law's overstuffed garage. The silhoutted figure in the doorway turns away from the jumbled mess, leaving it all behind.

As the sun was setting, I had my edition completed. It's a photopolymer intaglio with chine colle'.

This fabulous Christmas gift was a very welcome addition to the studio and makes cutting plates to size a breeze.
