



These 4 cards were created from nest imagery. Proofs were cut up, rearranged, added to and in one case, stitched with needlepoint thread. Interesting to see how the original image is altered first by cropping and then by selected additions.
The smell of the inks,the energy involved in working the plate, the feel of the paper and of course the magic of the press all play a role in printmakings allure. There are always new challenges to be met, problems to be solved and unlimited possibilities. At the end of a printing session, it is always magical to find out what lies "beneath the blankets".
These are wonderful! This seems like a productive way to work, and lots of fun too. I might give it a try some time.
